RockDove was originally born on a beach. A shoe repair shop that resoled hiking boots for locals in Santa Monica, CA, we began making slippers to comfort their trail-wearied feet. Twenty years later, we're still making footwear for après adventure.

Inspired by the bright hues and laidback vibes of our SoCal beachtown, every pair is made to feel like vacation for your feet. Our entire team from product design to customer support is still firmly rooted in West Hollywood, just 10 miles down Santa Monica Boulevard, where it all started.

Inspired by the carefree spirit of our SoCal roots, we're slippers you can simply slip on and go, machine wash, and wear indoor and out without the hassle of switching shoes.

At the heart of each pair is RockDove's triple-layer insole that maximizes comfort. Synthetic uppers (unless stated otherwise) with either rubber or EVA soles - no animal parts are used. Every design is fit tested prior to production, as being homegrown, we know American sizing. With RockDove, you're not taking risk with foreign brands that just can't get our sizing right.

We only use machine washable materials so you can spend more time relaxing, and less time cleaning. Whether it's dust, stains, or odors, simply throw your used slippers in the wash and they'll come out looking as good as new. Machine wash in cold on a gentle cycle, and air or line dry preferred.

Slippers are neglected by most shoe companies, in an industry that's obsessed with fashion, athletics, and the outdoors. And it shows - the way slippers are designed and made hasn't changed in decades. At RockDove, our mission is to turn the slipper into something that's not only comfortable to wear, but also up to date with both modern living and cutting-edge shoemaking.

To achieve this, we dedicate 100% of our work to making slippers and nothing else, nothing to distract us from our craft. We experiment with fabrics typically used in performance footwear, apply design principles from fashion apparel, and maintain fair wages with no animal skins used.

Cross-stitched seams improve durability of the upper to help your slippers last. Sherpa lining keeps your feet warm without causing them to sweat, while the rubber hardsole not only protects your feet on hard floors, but also prevents slipping thanks to its antislip traction pattern.

Our story began in 2002, when we handmade five pairs of slippers for long-time customers of our beachside workshop - avid adventurers who were missing quality indoor shoes to console their high-mileage, trail-wearied feet. Two months later, we had 350 mail orders, and named our slippers after the rock dove (pigeon) often seen strutting the boardwalks of Santa Monica Pier.

To this day, our legacy of creating footwear as if for the most exhausted, adventure-wearied feet lives on. But adventure isn't always hanging on a rope off the side of a mountain. We make slippers so that anyone who's on their feet all day can count on switching into the world's most comfortable slippers once they get home.
