Originally born on a beach in Santa Monica, California, we've been crafting comfortable and stylish footwear for over 20 years, with a focus on making the world's most neglected shoe - the slipper - even better.

Throughout 2020, RockDove donated slippers to frontline healthcare workers and first responders, recognizing the importance of providing comfort and support to those who were tirelessly serving their communities.

Our story began in 2002, when we were a beachside workshop in Santa Monica, resoling hiking boots for the local Audubon Society birdwatchers. As our customers' trusted cobbler, they eventually asked us for something that was missing in their lives at home - quality indoor shoes to console their high-mileage, trail-weary feet.

So, for Christmas that year, we handmade five pairs of slippers using a low-cut boot last and memory foam insoles. The experiment was a success, and RockDove was born. Today, our legacy of creating footwear as if for the most exhausted, adventure-wearied feet lives on, ensuring that anyone who's on their feet all day can count on switching into the world's most comfortable slippers once they get home.
